InSomnia, the interestingly looking retro-futuristic role-playing game that is currently raising funds on Kickstarter, has just received a nice tech demo showcasing the developers' work so far.

The Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign is well on its way to reaching developer Studio MONO's goal, being over 70 percent funded so far, with 17 more days to go.

"The team and I are amazed by the level of anticipation and love shown for our game. To be 50% funded in ten days is really exciting," says Anatoliy Necrasov, lead developer at Studio MONO.

"To celebrate hitting the half way mark so quickly, and to show our gratitiude, we've decided to release the first playable tech demo as a big thank you to all of our backers," he continues.

The game throws players into a dark and decrepit environment, on a humongous, half-deserted space station that is on a centuries-long voyage to find a new home for its inhabitants. Players will have to struggle to endure the harsh environment and survive through hunger and extreme weather conditions.

InSomnia is also currently undergoing its Steam Greenlight campaign, being intent on achieving worldwide distribution through Valve's platform, and the developer is currently aiming for a Q4 2015 release for Windows PC, Mac and Linux.
