A new video for the upcoming Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number has surfaced on the Internet, showing five full minutes of prime footage from the highly anticipated retro crime action game.

The upcoming game will enhance the experience offered in the original game and will serve as a conclusion to the bloody and pixelated killing spree started in Hotline Miami.

The indie game offers a difficult arcade-style gameplay experience, with a strong retro vibe in both overall aesthetic and music, offering over-the-top action that harkens back to a time when ridiculously muscled action heroes were competing over who shot the most rounds during the course of a movie, from a single, seemingly inexhaustible magazine.

Developer Dennaton Games has shared that Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number will have hundreds of new sprites and animations and will feature even more gory action and savage weapons to satisfy everyone's lust for murder.

While the previous trailer showed the new duel-wielding mechanic and the brutal chainsaw, this one highlights the full-on action players can expect in the sequel to the '80s-themed murder sim, showing the protagonist clearing floor after floor and the unforgiving gameplay where a single mistake can cost you your life.

Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number is currently scheduled for release sometime during Q3 2014, on the PC, Mac, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation Vita platforms.
