The Homeworld Remastered Collection is set to be launched on February 25 and the development team at Gearbox is ready to share a longer look at the gameplay of the coming package with fans, who might be familiar with the classic strategy games or might need an introduction into their very interesting mechanics.

The 5 minutes of footage start off rather slow and focus on zoomed-in looks at units, designed to show the quality of the textures the developers have created, good enough to satisfy any modern player.

Around the-three minute mark, a relatively big battle is introduced and there are plenty of satisfying explosions and combat maneuvers.

Homeworld Remastered Collection is designed to take all the content offered by the first two space-based strategy titles and upgrade them in order to make sure that they run well on modern machines.

The company has suggested that, if the upgraded games sell well, they might explore the possibility of creating a full sequel for the classic title, which fans have been waiting for close to 12 years.

Homeworld was revolutionary when it was first launched and the game allows players to try out a variety of strategies and to shift their perspective on battles in interesting ways, something that plenty of modern titles do not offer.
