The folks at IO Interactive and Square Enix have just released a new patch for Hitman: Absolution on Steam. This update is meant to improve players’ overall gameplay experience on some PC configurations.

Those who already have the game installed on their PC units will notice patch 1.0.446.0 is automatically downloaded and installed on their machines.

According to the official changelog, this patch brings important performance enhancements on various hardware configurations.

Unfortunately, there are no additional details on these performance improvements, so we can’t say for sure how extensive these enhancements are.

Another audio related change has been included in this update as well. It appears that a previous patch brought in a weird bug that did not allow players to mute audio volume.

Well, this bug has now been fixed and Hitman: Absolution will be able to mute the audio volume once again.
