IO Interactive, the studio behind the recent Hitman: Absolution game, has just lost its managing director, as the developer has confirmed that, after 11 years, Niels Jorgensen will take on a new position at Lego.

IO Interactive has delivered some impressive games over the years, ranging from the cult Hitman titles, to the less popular Kane & Lynch or the new Hitman: Absolution.

After apparently disappointing in terms of sales with Absolution, the studio has now lost its managing director, Niels Jorgensen, who's moving to large toymaker Lego.

The announcement was made on Twitter by Jorgensen and, according to NeoGAF, some big changes are coming to the studio, which will be downsized and put to work by owner Square Enix on mobile and free-to-play experiences.

The next Hitman game is already in development at Eidos Montreal.
