A new hero should arrive after Johanna soon enough

Heroes of the Storm developer Blizzard hopes to release a new character every three weeks, although it admits that this is just a goal and it might not be respected at all times.

Heroes of the Storm was revealed to the world quite some time ago and entered a closed technical alpha stage last year, followed by a closed beta at the beginning of the year. The multiplayer experience went into open beta status, and earlier this week, the final version was released by Blizzard.

During all this time, Blizzard has kept updating the online experience with new features, mechanics, and, most importantly, new characters for players to enjoy.

While the rhythm of new hero releases hasn't exactly been the quickest, nor has it been all that constant, designer Dustin Browder confirms on Twitter that, following the release of the game this week, the target interval between hero releases is three weeks.

Of course, Browder also adds that this is just a goal, not a promise, so fans shouldn't panic if more than three weeks pass since the debut of the most recent hero, Johanna the Crusader, which accompanied the final launch of Heroes of the Storm at the beginning of the week.

As of yet, the identity of the next hero is unclear.
