14 DAY TRIAL // Blizzard confirms that, in celebration of the availability of the Heroes of the Storm closed beta stage, it's offering players a 100% bonus XP boost this weekend, in order to get as many people as possible back into the multiplayer experience.
Heroes of the Storm spent 2014 under a closed technical alpha stage and Blizzard has used this time to drastically improve and change the mechanics of the multiplayer online battle arena experience.
Now, for 2015, the studio has updated the game, releasing a closed beta stage with new features, one extra hero, and a variety of other tweaks designed to cater to more people.
After already running the beta for a few days, Blizzard confirms on its website that it's offering a special double XP bonus weekend, so anyone who plays HotS until January 18 at 11:59pm PST will get twice the amount of experience they'd usually get while playing the game.
The bonus stacks with the Stimpacks, which are available as microtransactions from the official in-game store. However, it's unclear if it also stacks with the XP boost offered by the game when playing with a friend in a party.
Even so, you might want to take advantage of this promotion sooner rather than later in Heroes of the Storm.
