This week in the middle of May offers a preview of what gamers can expect from the coming summer: a landscape that sees a limited number of important launches, with even smaller indie games failing to fill the void.

The biggest launch of the week is Metro: Last Light, the action and first-person shooter title from 4A Games and Deep Silver.

The game takes players back to the metro tunnels under Moscow after World War III, once again navigating factional politics to discover a wider threat.
