Quantic Dream, the studio behind ambitious titles like Heavy Rain or the upcoming Beyond: Two Souls, has confirmed that it's already working on a game for the PlayStation 4 next-gen console through which it wants to reinvent itself.

Quantic Dream impressed lots of gamers with its various titles, ranging from Indigo Prophecy to Heavy Rain or the upcoming Beyond: Two Souls, which is set to hit the PS3 in the near future.

Besides working on that title, the studio is also busy developing a game for the PlayStation 4 next-gen console, as its CEO, Guillaume de Fondaumière, told Eurogamer that the title will be a completely new experience.

"For us, a new console is another reason to try and innovate," he said.

"What is certain is that whatever we're working on on PS4 is not going to resemble what we're doing on PS3. We're going to try and reinvent ourselves. We'll be able to express ourselves in a more straightforward way. So it's perfect, it's excellent."

Quantic Dream Creative Director David Cage presented a special technical demonstration at Sony's PlayStation 4 presentation last month, showcasing the power of the studio's next-gen game engine, but an application inside a game wasn't revealed.
