The studio is still trying to make the add-on perform well on Skyrim’s PS3 edition

Bethesda recently confirmed that a new expansion is going to appear next week for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, in the form of Hearthfire, and the studio has now confirmed that it’s still working hard on bringing the last add-on, Dawnguard, onto the PS3 platform.

Dawnguard was the first big expansion for Skyrim, which appeared earlier this summer on the Xbox 360 and earlier this month for the PC. Unfortunately for PS3 owners, Bethesda revealed that it ran into some technical problems while bringing the add-on onto their platform, which forced the company to delay it indefinitely.

Now, after confirming that a new expansion, Hearthfire, would be released for Skyrim on the Xbox 360, PS3 owners became quite upset, accusing Bethesda of forgetting about their own platform.

The studio’s PR and Marketing Vice President, Pete Hines, has confirmed that the Hearthfire and Dawnguard teams are completely independent, so fans shouldn’t worry about Bethesda neglecting one platform or another.

"We are working on multiple projects, even beyond those two things. The entire team doesn't work on one thing at a time," he said.

Expect to hear more about Hearthfire and Dawnguard for PS3 soon.
