Microsoft will bring quite a few big announcements to E3 2014 this summer, including details about the Halo franchise's future on the Xbox One.

The Xbox One has been slowly losing in terms of sales and popularity as opposed to the PS4, and Microsoft is taking measures to ensure that its console remains in the public's attention.

After confirming a price cut in the UK and a special Titanfall bundle, Microsoft has revealed that big announcements will appear in the future, including at E3 2014.

Microsoft's Phil Spencer has confirmed on Twitter that "E3 planning is looking good, will have a lineup of new, announced, unannounced and hopefully unexpected."

One of the already announced titles that will get detailed this summer is Halo 5, as Spencer says that developer 343 Industries has a "great plan in place" that will delight fans of the series.

Last but not least, the Microsoft executive has also pledged that the next wave of Xbox One games will benefit from the lessons learned by internal teams with the first few titles.

"Launch teams did a nice job, shipping a game with new platform isn’t easy. 2nd/3rd wave of games have a benefit that will show," he said.

E3 2014 starts this June and Microsoft is expected to hold a big press conference.
