The development team at 343 Industries is announcing that it is now adding a new Team Ball mode to Halo: The Master Chief Collection for a limited time, giving all fans of the series who appreciate the experience it offers a chance to get right into the matchmaking process to find similarly minded friends and play.

The information comes from the official Twitter account of the franchise and unfortunately does not offer information on how long the mode will be available and whether the development company plans to introduce other such surprises in the future.

Halo: The Master Chief Collection still has some matchmaking issues, but after plenty of updates the developers have managed to make sure that most players will find a way, even if searching for one of the more exotic modes.

Team Ball is a variation of Oddball and gamers are split into eight teams and will need to try and keep hold of it for a two-minute period in order to win.

Halo: The Master Chief Collection was launched in November of last year and because it had big problems initially, 343 Industries and Microsoft have delivered a range of patches and have compensated the community by also offering free content for the shooter.
