Halo Online, the recently confirmed free-to-play multiplayer shooter for PC coming to Russia this spring, has just received some gameplay details about its mechanics, its modes, and what will be covered by microtransactions.

Halo games have appeared mostly on Xbox consoles, but with Halo Online, Microsoft and 343 Industries are working with Russian company Innova to bring a custom PC experience for the large free-to-play market in the huge country.

The game now has a few actual gameplay details, courtesy of NeoGAF, confirming that it supports anywhere from 4 to 16 players and that it features traditional Halo modes like Team Slayer and Assassination.

There will be plenty of missions for players to attempt, and some will cover vehicles.

Microtransactions cover weapons, armor customization, and power-ups, although it's unclear just how much of an impact they can have on the competitive modes.

Expect to hear more as the Halo Online beta kicks off in Russia this spring for the PC platform. You can also admire a screenshot of the supposed start screen above.

343 Industries confirms that Halo Online is an experiment and that it might appear in other regions, like North America or Europe, at some point in time, depending on its success in Russia.
