The development team at 343 Industries is announcing that it has begun rolling out a new content update for Halo: Master Chief Collection in order to eliminate a bug that affected party joining for all those who had large friends lists.

The information comes from the official Twitter account of the franchise, but there's no word on whether there are any other changes made to the title.

The development team has not said how many gamers were affected by the problem, but the very fact that it delivered a hotfix is a sign that it has taken community reports seriously.

A new regular content update for Halo: Master Chief Collection is supposed to arrive later in May.

The studio has promised that it will continue to deal with all the problems that fans are reporting while at the same time aiming to add more content to the shooter.

Halo: Master Chief Collection will also get a new range of playlists in the coming months, with the player choosing which ones will remain by voting with their time.

Despite their commitment to Halo 5: Guardians, 343 Industries will continue to work on the older title all through the year.
