The development team at 343 Industries and publisher Microsoft seem to have a range of new ideas designed to promote the new Halo 5: Guardians, with a new Spartan Field Test concept and Find the Master Chief competition being at the moment only offered to gamers in Italy.

Those who go to the official site can answer some questions about the franchise in order to then become engaged in a 8 player laser tag tournament where they will be able to win a Limited Collector's Edition of the video game.

It's unclear why the Find the Master Chief idea is at the moment only running in Italy and whether Microsoft will deliver it to gamers in other countries in the future .

The publisher might be trying out to create marketing that's based on the needs to the audience in different regions.

Halo 5: Guardians will be launched on October 27 on the Xbox One.

At the moment information about the single player of the title is being delivered in the Hunt the Truth series of podcasts, which is building up to a bigger reveal that will take place during E3 2015.

A smartphone based Hunt the Signal competition is also allowing gamers to find out more details about the interactions between Master Chief and Agent Locke.
