The Halo 5: Guardians beta is now live and for the coming three-week period gamers will be able to test the core mechanics of the upcoming shooter, as long as they have previously picked up Halo: The Master Chief Collection since it was introduced.

Now the developers are asking the community to get more involved with the testing period and to choose which new weapon they are interested in seeing in action, the rocket launcher or the Hydra.

The message from the official Twitter account is asking gamers to vote using either the Halo Channel on the Xbox One or the special bulletin on the official site.

The Halo 5: Guardians beta period is designed to allow players to see how the newly introduced mechanics, including the sprint and the increased performance of weapons, will affect the overall experience associated with the series.

The community has been relatively cautious about their impact, but it’s still too early to know exactly how the new game features are working.

Based on the information coming from the community, the team at 343 Industries says that it will tweak the multiplayer aspect of the title before it is launched on the Xbox One at some point in the fall of 2015.
