Isaiah Cartwright, the lead designer working on Guild Wars 2, says that his team wants to continue improving the accessibility level of the MMO while keeping the most complex aspects of the game away from newcomers.

He tells Massively that, “One of the major goals of Guild Wars was to allow anyone to jump in and play. We have a team dedicated to making sure that it’s easy, and we’re going to continue to improve that process as much as we can.”

Recently, the developer has commented on the increase in reward systems that the MMO genre has seen lately and has explained how Guild Wars 2 will handle it.

ArenaNet is also keen to eliminate grinding from its game as much as possible, including a variety of activities for players to perform.
