The development team at Monolith has released a new video for its upcoming Guardians of Middle-Earth multiplayer online battle arena title, showing how a number of pro gamers linked to the genre have reacted once they have seen their suggestions implemented into the game.

Monolith has sought feedback from the MOBA pros because a lot of the success of a title in the genre depends on the endorsement of highly competitive players.

The most important games in the field include League of Legends and the upcoming DOTA 2 from Valve.

Guardians of Middle-Earth will include a range of heroes from The Lord of the Rings franchise, including well-known faces like Gandalft, Aragon, Gollum, Sauron and Legolas.

Players will work in teams of five and need to use their skills and abilities to destroy the enemy’s base.

Guardians of Middle-Earth will be launched on the Xbox Live service from Microsoft and via the PlayStation Network from Sony on September 30.
