Grand Theft Auto 5's multiplayer mode, GTA Online, will launch in Australia on October 2, as apparently Rockstar Games is set to deploy the experience in North America and Europe on October 1.

GTA 5 came out almost two weeks ago and, after successfully releasing the game for the PS3 and Xbox 360 all around the world, developer Rockstar Games is preparing to roll out a free update that includes GTA Online, the multiplayer mode for the new game.

While the patch is set to debut tomorrow, October 1, all around the world, it seems that Australians will have to wait until October 2, according to a statement from Rockstar relayed to CVG.

Exact release times and details haven't been revealed by Rockstar itself, so it's unclear whether other territories will have to wait an extra day until getting the multiplayer update.
