Grand Theft Auto's PSP installments, Liberty City Stories and Vice City Stories, are coming to the PS Vita soon enough in the form of GTA: City Stories, at least according to a new report and a new trademark filing from Rockstar Games.

The Grand Theft Auto franchise is one of the most popular video game series worldwide and developer Rockstar Games hasn't shied away from bringing it to different platforms other than home consoles or PC.

It even tried on several occasions to deploy it on handheld devices, like the PlayStation Portable, through Liberty City Stories and Vice City Stories, which explored events before the main GTA 3 and GTA: Vice City installments.

Now, it seems that Rockstar wants to bring these two classic experiences onto another platform, in the form of the PS Vita.

According to a leak, via Gamepur, Rockstar will soon present Grand Theft Auto: City Stories, a compilation of the two PSP games, presumably with some better visuals in order to take advantage of the PS Vita's more powerful hardware.

This report is backed up by the fact that Rockstar's publishing partner, Take-Two Interactive, has just filed a trademark for Grand Theft Auto: City Stories.

Unfortunately, no other details are known just yet.
