Grand Theft Auto V is set to be released on September 17, and publisher Take-Two is quite confident in the game's ability to generate huge sales, even if its launch might be disturbed by next-gen consoles like the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

GTA 5 is eagerly awaited by tens of millions of fans from around the world, and developer Rockstar is confident that the open world game will attract lots of them this September.

Publisher Take-Two shares this enthusiasm, as CEO Strauss Zelnick has told MCV that the company expects "enormous consumer demand for Grand Theft Auto V regardless of when the next-generation consoles are released."

What's more, Zelnick highlights that, seeing as how a total of 120 million PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles were sold around the world, the potential market for Grand Theft Auto 5 is huge.
