A brand new mod for Grand Theft Auto 5 on the Xbox 360 has surfaced online in a couple of videos, showing off the game played in a first-person view, instead of the traditional third-person one.

Grand Theft Auto 5 may be available right now on Xbox 360 and PS3, but this doesn't mean that intrepid players can't develop mods for the game, even if they can't actually share them with others.

We've already seen quite a lot of different and wacky mods be demonstrated online but the latest one, coming from YouTube user XBLToothPik, shows a fully functional first-person view in GTA 5.

What's more surprising is that the first-person experience is pretty good, as shooting and moving around seems rather decent.

Of course, don't expect the highest quality when entering vehicles like cars, jets, or boats, as it's clear that Rockstar only wanted these interiors to look good when looked at from the outside.

Even so, the whole mod is pretty impressive.

Unfortunately, no details about the modification were shared in the videos.

Considering that GTA 5 will soon debut on PC, alongside PS4 and Xbox One this fall, you can bet that the modding process will truly shine on the open PC platform.

Until then, check out the two gameplay videos below.
