Grand Theft Auto 5 for the PS4 and Xbox One has seen its release pushed back into spring of 2015, at least according to an apparent announcement made by an Australian retailer.

GTA 5 broke sales records when it appeared for the PS3 and Xbox 360 platforms last year, delighting tens of millions of console owners with the top-notch single-player campaign and the stellar GTA Online multiplayer experience.

For quite some time, developer Rockstar has been working hard on the PC, PS4, and Xbox One adaptations of GTA 5, promising earlier this summer that the new and improved versions of the game would debut in the fall.

Now, it seems that the release date will be pushed back, as another report has surfaced online, this time claiming that Australian retailer Big W has posted announcements in its stores informing customers about the delay of GTA 5 for PS4 and Xbox One.

Instead of rolling out this November, the game is going to debut in spring of 2015, according to the announcement, via Gamepur.

Big W was among the few retailers who pinned a November release period onto GTA 5, so it's unknown what sort of insider information it has.

Expect to hear an official announcement from Rockstar about GTA 5's release on PC, PS4, and Xbox One soon enough.
