Rockstar Games and Sony have released a new Grand Theft Auto 5 comparison video, pitting against one another the PS4 and PS3 versions of the game in a really impressive bit of footage that features both rural and urban environments.

GTA 5 impressed quite a lot of people last year, when it launched for the PS3 and Xbox 360 platforms, not just through its great gameplay, but also the pretty good visuals, which were impressive seeing as how both consoles had really old hardware.

Now, Rockstar is getting ready to launch GTA 5 for PS4 and Xbox One later this month, as well as on the PC in January of 2015.

In order to once again showcase how the new versions of the game compare to the old ones, Rockstar has launched, in partnership with Sony, an official comparison video that shows the PS4 visuals as opposed to the PS3 ones.

The clip, available below, depicts both rural environments from across Blaine County, but also urban ones from downtown Los Santos.

You can spot plenty of major improvements, from denser foliage, pedestrian and car traffic to better lighting and shadows. Cars in particular are no longer matte in their colors, as they can reflect their surroundings when zoomed in.

Check out the great video below.
