Gran Turismo 6 received its official reveal yesterday, and now its creator, Kazunori Yamauchi, has revealed that a PlayStation 4 version of the racing title was on the mind of his team at Polyphony Digital.

Gran Turismo 6 was revealed yesterday and both publisher Sony and developer Polyphony Digital confirmed that the racing simulator will appear for the PlayStation 3 in the holiday season of 2013.

Now, the studio's Creative Director, Kazunori Yamauchi, has confirmed that a PlayStation 4 edition of the racing simulator was "on the mind" of his team and mentioned that the best strategy would be to focus on the PS3 edition at first and then release a PS4 version.

"I thought the best scenario would be to have the game come out, then to have new scenarios, new DLC and other updates. Once the players have thoroughly played out the system, if the PlayStation 4 version came out naturally, as part of that process, I think that would be the best scenario," he told IGN.

Gran Turismo 6 is set to appear for the PS3 at the end of the year and a demo will come out in July.
