Todd Papy, the leading director who has worked on God of War: Ascension, is no longer employed by the Sony Santa Monica studios and is currently collaborating with Crytek on a secret video game project.
His Twitter bio states, “Working on an unannounced project… more info coming in the future.”
God of War: Ascension is the most recent entry in the long-running series built around over-the-top violence set in a mythical universe and around the character of Kratos.
The title received a less than stellar reception from the fan community, despite the addition of a multiplayer mode that generated some tension-filled and exciting moments.
The Crytek project that Papy is working on is probably linked to the Xbox One from Microsoft and the PlayStation 4 from Sony.
The studio has recently launched Ryse: Son of Rome for the Microsoft-made console.
