Epic Games confirmed yesterday that a new Gears of War game is coming and that we'd know more next week, when Microsoft holds its E3 2012 press conference.
Now, Game Informer magazine has posted more details about the new game, including the fact that it's called Gears of War: Judgment, and that its reversible covers depict two characters from previous games, in the form of Damon Baird and Augustus "Cole Train" Cole.
As you can see in the images above and below, both characters look pretty young, especially Cole Train, which hints at the possibility that Judgment is a prequel to the events in the original trilogy of Gears of War titles.
This is reinforced by the fact that the war going on outside only features Locust enemies and not the Lambent we saw in the last two titles.
Last but not least, Epic Games' Mike Capps confirmed that the company's Polish subsidiary, People Can Fly, is also working on Gears of War: Judgment.
No other details are known, so you'll have to make do with these two images before Microsoft's E3 2012 press conference next week.
