Gears of War creator and Epic Games’ Creative Director Cliff Bleszinski revealed that the studio had a special Gears of War: Exile title in development at some point in time, but it was canceled before its official announcement.

The Gears of War franchise is one of the most popular Xbox 360 exclusive ones in the world, delivering a hardcore experience, with lots of fans from all over the world.

Besides last year’s Gears of War 3, developer Epic Games also teased the fact that a big project relating to the series would also appear.

That game, according to a new statement from the franchise’s creator, Cliff Bleszinski, was Gears of War: Exile.

"Gears of War: Exile was an unannounced game that I can't give any details about that has since been cancelled," he told GameSpot.

While he didn’t confirm any details, it’s likely that this was the oft-rumored game with support for the Xbox 360’s Kinect motion sensor.

Such a game was speculated ever since the Kinect’s launch, but it seems that something prevented it from becoming a reality.

Are you upset or relieved that a Gears of War Kinect game hasn’t appeared?
