Lester Speight clarifies previous rumors and denies any involvement with the new title

Lester Speight, the voice actor behind the iconic Augustus "Cole Train" Cole from the Gears of War franchise, has clarified a previous statement about him reprising his role in the new title for the Xbox One, saying that he has yet to be contacted by Microsoft or Black Tusk Studios.

The Gears of War saga has delivered some pretty great stories with a lot of iconic characters, including protagonist Marcus Fenix. However, one of the fan favorites, Cole Train, voiced by Lester Speight, is certainly the most popular due to his flamboyant character.

Lots of fans got excited over the weekend when it seemed that Speight confirmed on Twitter that he'd been contacted by the developer of the next Gears of War title – Black Tusk Studios.

Now, he posted an update on Twitter, saying that he has yet to be contacted about reprising the role of Cole Train.

"Let me clear up misunderstanding I'm willing to reprise my [role] as Cole Train but I haven't been contacted yet, stop! No more rumors," he said.

As such, it's unclear if the next Gears of War title from Black Tusk and Microsoft will deal with the original series and characters like Cole Train or Marcus Fenix.
