Guillaume de Fondaumiere, one of the producers working on the upcoming Beyond: Two Souls at Quantic Dream, believes that the video game industry is in crisis at the moment and that the decline of the market will not be easily reversed.

He tells Eurogamer that, "Today we are seeing a crisis. We are seeing a market that is in decline… there is a certain creative crisis that is, in part, the reason why some gamers are playing less."

The developer believes that publishers need to take more disks when it comes to the projects they back because this is the only way to move away from core sequels and drive innovation forward.

Beyond: Two Souls is an emotion-driven project that will be launched exclusively on the PlayStation 3 later during the year.
