Ken Levine, the creator of the upcoming BioShock Infinite shooter, believes developers shouldn't be afraid of causing controversies as censoring their own ideas doesn't benefit the end product.

Controversies and debates have affected a variety of games, with some even using it in order to promote themselves to a larger audience.

BioShock Infinite designer Ken Levine believes developers shouldn't censor themselves in order to avoid causing a controversy.

"Our first game involved infanticide," Levine told Eurogamer, referencing BioShock's Little Sisters.

"I don't, we can't work from a place of fear, because otherwise you start censoring yourself. And the only censoring I do is I say is this going to make a better game or worse game?"

While BioShock Infinite won't be featuring any Little Sisters, it's expected that players will still face some tough choices and moral dilemmas in the new game that's out this month.
