Grand Theft Auto 5's multiplayer mode, GTA Online, might get microtransactions that allow players to pay with real money for various amounts of virtual cash that will be added to the wallet of their virtual characters.

GTA 5 was released last week and developer Rockstar Games is now preparing to debut the multiplayer mode for the new title, which is coming as a free update on October 1.

Until then, different leaks concerning the game have appeared online, with the most recent being that microtransactions will be a part of the multiplayer experience.

According to a Reddit user, a description of a cash card that adds funds to a virtual character was uncovered on Rockstar's website.

"Red Shark Cash Card - $100,000. Cash is king in this town. Solve your money problems and help get what you want across Los Santos and Blaine County with the purchase of cash packs for Grand Theft Auto Online. All purchased cash is automatically deposited into your character’s bank account. Spend wisely, cash therapy is fleeting."

An image of the card, as well as ones with more funds, were also uncovered via NeoGAF, so it seems that GTA Online players will be able to buy virtual cash with real money in the multiplayer mode.
