Video game publisher Take Two says that Grand Theft Auto IV has managed to reach a total of 25 million sales on all platforms since its launch in 2008, with 11 million copies delivered to gamers during the first month.

CVG cites Strauss Zelnick, the chief executive officer of the company, as saying that the entire series has managed to sell more than 125 million units.

GTA IV was a big seller for Take Two during the second quarter of the fiscal year, which ended on June 30, alongside more modern releases like NBA 2K13, BioShock Infinite, and Borderlands 2.

Take Two and developer Rockstar are getting ready to launch Grand Theft Auto V on September 17 on home consoles, taking players back to Los Santos.
