I'm looking forward the most to Rockstar's open world game

While 2012 was certainly a great year for gaming, with many impressive titles appearing in the last 12 months, including lots of sequels and quite a few new ones, 2013 is already shaping up to be an even more impressive year.

While quite a lot of great games are going to appear in the next 12 months, the one I'm looking forward to the most is Grand Theft Auto V.

Rockstar's GTA series impressed me many years ago with GTA III and, since then, I didn't miss any PC installment in the series. From the glitzy Vice City, to the more modern San Andreas, to the ultra-realistic GTA IV, every new game managed to improve upon its predecessor and set the benchmark for open world experiences.

Now, with GTA V, Rockstar is looking set to once again take every aspect and crank it up a notch. From the open world, which is even bigger, to the story, which now has not one but three main protagonists, the developer has pushed everything to its limits.

What's more, while I'm more than excited about the different technical achievements of the upcoming Grand Theft Auto V, I'm even more happy that, at least from the recent trailers, it seems that the story will be much more funny than the one seen in GTA IV or in its Lost and Damned expansion.

While I certainly enjoyed those two plots, I had a greater time with the second expansion for GTA IV, The Ballad of Gay Tony, which had funnier characters and much more clever riffs on present day society, so I want that same feeling to continue with GTA V.

I'm certain that other games will surprise and delight me in 2013, like BioShock Infinite, but I just want to see what Rockstar has managed to achieve with its upcoming open world game.
