Developer Funcom has announced that it would move its older MMO Age of Conan to the new Dreamworld server technology that it has created for use in its new The Secret World.

The new single-server tech will allow players to quickly and easily group and enter quests without sharing a realm.

A statement from the company reads: "Retro-fitting a new system like this is not just ‘plug and play’ when it comes to not just an existing game (that wasn’t originally designed to support it), but an existing game with over four years’ worth of data.”

The final result of Dreamworld integration will be that only two major servers, United States and Europe, will remain once the process is completed.

Age of Conan is built around the adventures of the well-known Robert E. Howard created fantasy land and now uses a free-to-play system.

The Secret World, the most recent Funcom title, recently received its first content update.
