Xbox 360 owners in Australia, Canada, Mexico, New Zealand and other countries can join

In honor of the huge sales experienced by its Xbox 360 console in the last few weeks and on Black Friday in particular, Microsoft has decided to kick off a special free Xbox Live Gold weekend in countries like the United States, Australia, Canada, Japan, South Korea, Mexico, New Zealand, and many others.

The Xbox 360 continues to draw in lots of gamers and over 750,000 consoles were sold during Black Friday in the U.S. alone.

In order to get the new Xbox 360 users interested in signing up for an Xbox Live Gold subscription, Microsoft has confirmed, via the blog of its community manager, that it's going to kick off a special Gold weekend in a variety of countries starting today, November 29, until Sunday, December 2.

During this period, all Xbox 360 owners can access Gold benefits for free, including multiplayer for certain games, Internet Explorer, Video Kinect, and entertainment apps.

The countries included in this special promotion are: Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Republic of Korea, Mexico, New Zealand, Singapore, Taiwan, and the United States.
