Download it ASAP, as Sony hasn't confirmed whether it's an error or a full discount

Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception, the latest installment in the action adventure series from Naughty Dog and Sony, has just gone completely free to download and play for an unknown period of time.

Uncharted 3 delighted millions of PS3 owners worldwide when it appeared several years ago, thanks to its great single-player story campaign as well as the top-notch multiplayer portion that included competitive and cooperative experiences.

Over the years, Naughty Dog experimented with the multiplayer mode and even made it available as a standalone free-to-play experience on the PlayStation Store.

Those who got the standalone single-player experience, which cost around 20 USD/EUR, were automatically upgraded to the full game status.

Now, it seems that the actual single-player portion is also available for free on the PlayStation Store for the PS3.

The listing on the North American PSN doesn't mention anything about the free nature and Sony has been silent about the possible modification, so it's unclear if it's due to an error or because Sony is feeling generous.

Even so, you might want to jump on this great offer sooner rather than later and download the single-player story. Bear in mind it clocks in at around 40GB, so make sure you have enough space on your PS3's hard drive.
