Capcom has confirmed that it's going to release a free downloadable add-on for Dragon's Dogma, its recent action role-playing game, called A Trial for Adventures – Challenge Pack, which adds two new modes to the title – a Hard and a Speed Run one.

Dragon's Dogma came out right before summer on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 and quickly attracted plenty of gamers with its more action-oriented take on RPG games, allowing players to engage in massive battles, and through its Pawn mechanic, that allowed users to create their own NPCs and send them to their friends in order to accumulate XP.

Now, after hearing that a special Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen expansion will arrive in 2013, a release date for a free add-on has just been confirmed via CVG, as A Trial for Adventures – Challenge Pack is set to appear on December 4.

The DLC, in case you forgot, brings two new gameplay modes, in the form of a Hard difficulty setting and a special Speed Run mode that rewards players for their speed and efficiency.

The add-on should go live worldwide on December 4.
