Electronic Arts has just unveiled its third free game that's being offered to all users of its Origin digital distribution service, in the form of the impressive Battlefield 3, which will be free to download until June 4.

EA's Origin service has been slowly but surely getting a lot of people interested in its exclusive delas, as Electronic Arts is offering its PC games only through the digital storefront, instead of other services like Steam.

In order to get even more people active on Origin, it's kicked off a few months ago a special program called On The House, which sees big games be offered for free to all users for a limited time.

After starting things with Dead Space 1 and then continuing with Plants vs. Zombies: Game of the Year Edition, EA has now revealed its third free title for Origin users, in the form of Battlefield 3.

The great military first-person shooter will be available as a free download from the Origin service until June 4.

Afterwards, those who manage to tie it to their account can enjoy the game without any restrictions.

Expect another free title to replace Battlefield 3 next week, as EA wants to continue the great promotional offers on Origin.
