The first gameplay trailer for the Warner Bros video game adaptation of the upcoming The LEGO Movie motion picture was just unveiled during VGX 2013.

The movie will feature voice acting by renowned movie stars Will Ferrell, Liam Neeson and Morgan Freeman.

The action starts when “an ordinary LEGO minifigure, mistakenly thought to be the extraordinary MasterBuilder, is recruited to join a quest to stop an evil LEGO tyrant from gluing the universe together,” according to the official statement.

The LEGO Movie Video Game promises to be a game like no other, and based on the trailer, things are looking pretty good for the family-friendly title.

Similar to most LEGO games, it will be available on several platforms, namely Nintendo 3DS, PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and Wii U.
