The development team at Firaxis has launched some solid titles in the past few years, but XCOM: Enemy Unknown, which was introduced in 2012, remains one of the most loved titles the studio has created and still has a solid player base.

Recently, the company has been posting a series of updates on its official Facebook page suggesting that it is working on and preparing to reveal new content for the title, which is focused on playing from the perspective of the aliens.

This is a clear parody of the scoring system used for the game, but the company has not offered any details about its cryptic recent updates to the fans, who have been speculating for a while that an alien-focused expansion for XCOM would make sense from a gameplay perspective.

An announcement might come soon, as this month marks the moment when the XCOM initiative was activated in the fictional universe.

Of course, Firaxis could only be having fun with the concept without planning to announce an actual new expansion for the game.

The company is set to soon deliver the new Sid Meier's Starships experience.
