Video game developer Firaxis is announcing that it is introducing a new playtest program that will involve both already launched and entirely new game experiences, designed to allow fans to offer their feedback on the core gameplay mechanics.

All those interested can log into an official site in order to offer a range of information about their interests, so that they can be matched with future testing sessions.

Unspecified rewards are offered for those who take part, who need to be at least 18 years old.

The official announcement states, "Based on your responses we will try to match you with upcoming play tests. When we find a play test for you, we will follow up with an additional survey and invitation to play one of our upcoming titles and then tell us what you think."

The studio is not saying what actual titles will be included in the playtest sessions.

Rumors are suggesting that a full expansion will be revealed for Civilization: Beyond Earth in the coming months, and more content might also be coming for Sid Meier's Starships.

The company is also probably working on an entirely new turn-based experience, but it's unclear when an official announcement about it will be made.
