The development team at Square Enix working on Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn announces that the registration number for the MMO has reached 1.5 million.

The number is good for a subscription-based experience, but it’s unclear how many of the registered accounts are still active, with gamers playing the MMO everyday or every week.

The news comes just as Square Enix is getting ready to celebrate Halloween in the game with a set of events grouped under the All Saint’s Wake name.

The company has already announced that it is planning to soon introduce more options for players, including the ability to get and decorate a house, and more options for arena battles.

Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn will also be launched on the PlayStation 4 from Sony at some point in 2014, but it seems that cross-play will not be an option.
