Video game publisher Square Enix says that all fans of the Final Fantasy series will soon get official information about the high Definition update for FF X, which is supposed to be launched on the PlayStation 3 home console and on the PlayStation Vita handheld.

Final Fantasy X HD was first announced during the Tokyo Games Show in 2011 but since then, the development team has not offered any more information about it.

It’s unclear whether the publisher wants to announce a launch date and gameplay details for the project or whether a new delay is planned for it.

At the moment, Square Enix is getting ready to launch Final Fantasy XIII: Lightning Returns during 2013 and a reboot of the MMO FF XIV is also on its way, currently in beta stage.
