Video game publisher SEGA says that it has plans to launch High Definition versions for three well-known video games created by AM2 – Fighting Vipers, Virtua Fighter 2 and Sonic the Fighters.

The trio will be launched on the PlayStation Network service from Sony and the Xbox Live Arcade from Microsoft.

The price for each of the games is set at 400 Microsoft Points, 4.49 Euro or 4.99 dollars.

Virtua Fighter 2 is the most interesting game in the package, launched in arcade in 1994 and widely remembered as one of the best released of the series, with balanced characters and impressive move lists.

Sonic the Fighters was released in 1996 and some fans of the series liked it, although it was poorly received.

Fighting Vipers also launched during 1996 and is seen as a cult game, with a number of gamers who continue to play it competitively.
