Gamers can get new missions, new characters and the soundtrack

Valve, the creators of the leading PC digital distribution service, and French publisher Ubisoft announce that the upcoming Far Cry 3 is now available for pre-order on Steam in two incarnations, both of them set to offer gamers more content as long as they are interested in buying the game before launch.

The Standard Edition will come complete with a new mission for the single-player mode, called Lost Expeditions, which will see gamers search for previous explorers of the mysterious island.

Those who get the Deluxe Edition of Far Cry 3 will get access to a free copy of the original game in the series which they will be able to play right away.

The game key can be gifted to another player and the Deluxe Edition also introduces more missions, new weapons to use, a digital art book and the official soundtrack.

Far Cry 3 will be officially out on November 29.
