Video game developer EA Sports is announcing that it is launching a cover vote for FIFA 16, which is a premiere for the franchise, allowing fans from five regions to choose which players they want to see joining Lionel Messi to represent the title.

Starting now, gamers can vote for their favorite footballers, and the winners will be announced on July 5 for the United Kingdom, Latin America, France, Australia and Mexico.

Gamers can vote by going to the classic page in order to choose the player they want to see on the cover of FIFA 16. They can also share their choice on Twitter to get more points for their option.

EA Sports adds, "You can also give them more points by playing FIFA 15. When you vote for your player through the portal, you will be given the option to link your Origin ID. Once linked, actions you perform in FIFA 15 will go towards your player."

0.5 is offered for every game, the same for a win, and 0.25 points are associated with every goal.

It is interesting to note that even those who are not part of the above-mentioned regions can vote if they have a favorite player.

FIFA 16 will be launched on September 24, and the new cover will be revealed on July 8.
