The development team at EA Sports announces that it is now planning to launch the official Web App for the FIFA 15 Ultimate Team mode at some point later this evening and wants to keep gamers informed as it continues to work on it.

The information comes from the official Twitter account of the series, and fans have already reacted angrily to the delay for the service which was supposed to be offered yesterday, just as the first full team package for the mode was revealed to the public.

The Web App is used by plenty of fans of Ultimate Team and the new version is designed to be easier to use and more secure, asking gamers to use login verification in order to make sure that no one else can gain access to their account.

EA Sports wants to make sure that the playing field in FIFA 15 is as level as possible, and that means keeping regular players secure while eliminating cheaters and rule abusers as quickly as possible via bans.

The new football sim will be out on September 23 in North America and two days later in Europe and can be played on the PC, the PlayStation 4, the Xbox One and last-gen consoles.

UPDATE: EA Sports now says that it plans to take Ultimate Team offline for a two-hour period, probably in order to perform necesarry maintenance in order to then launch the new Web App for FIFA 15.

#FUT will be down for maintenance today (18 September) from 11am to 1pm UK (3-5am PT). Approx downtime: 2hrs: http://t.co/zynw7dAHy5 — EA SPORTS FIFA (@EASPORTSFIFA) September 18, 2014
