FIFA 14 is one of the biggest video game launches of the coming year and a retailer listing is currently saying that the football simulation is expected to be launched on the Xbox 360 from Microsoft and the PlayStation 3 from Sony on October 4.

GAME, a specialist retailer from the United Kingdom, is listing the new date even if neither EA Sports nor the publishing arm of Electronic Arts has offered official information on the launch window so far.

Traditionally, the series has launched at the end of September, just as the football season swings into full gear all over Europe.

Amazon has previously offered a September 24 launch date for the game.

It’s unclear why the GAME listing does not talk about the PC version of the game.

FIFA 14 will introduce new features including Pure Shot, Teammate Intelligence and Protect the Ball.
