Next year's FIFA 13 will have support for Sony's PlayStation Move motion controls, but that doesn't mean it will use it as a gimmick that's going to appear briefly in the actual gameplay, at least according to EA Sports.

FIFA 12 has just been released all over the world last week, but the team at Electronic Arts' Sports division is already thinking about the next installment, FIFA 13, which is set to have quite a few surprises in store for players, including support for Sony's PlayStation Move on the PS3 edition.

Now, FIFA franchise producer David Rutter told CVG that this implementation will make sense. "It's about trying to make it part of the game in a good way, rather than have it as a clichéd marketing gimmick."

Move support won't be featured just in a special mini-game, however, as EA Sports senior VP Andrew Wilson also revealed that, "The core focus for us is still on 11-versus-11, twitch-based gameplay. That's where we're investing heavily."

FIFA 13 is expect sometime in September, 2012.
